Pokémon TCG: 30th Celebration is the anniversary expansion built around three decades of the Pokémon Trading Card Game. It launched worldwide on 16 September 2026 with more than 150 cards, a dedicated Classic Collection, new illustration-focused artwork and one of 30 different Pikachu rare cards inside every booster pack.
The unusual part is the product line-up. 30th Celebration is a special expansion, so there is no traditional 36-pack Booster Display in the announced range. Instead, packs are spread across Elite Trainer Boxes, Booster Bundles, Mini Tins, collection boxes and several larger collector products releasing in waves through the rest of 2026.
This guide covers the confirmed set details, the UK product schedule, what is inside each major product and which format makes the most sense depending on how you collect.
What is Pokémon TCG: 30th Celebration?
30th Celebration is part of the Mega Evolution Series and marks 30 years of the Pokémon TCG. Pokémon lists the expansion at over 150 cards, with artwork built around day-and-night themes, a large Pikachu focus and a Classic Collection revisiting memorable cards from earlier eras of the game.
The set is deliberately designed to feel different from a normal main expansion. Every booster pack is foil-heavy, every pack guarantees one of the 30 Pikachu rare illustrations, and several of the sealed products are clearly aimed at collectors as much as players.
What is inside a 30th Celebration booster pack?
Pokémon confirms that each 30th Celebration booster pack contains:
- 5 foil cards
-
1 of 30 unique Pikachu rare illustrations among those foil cards
- 1 foil Basic Energy card
That means the opening experience is very different from a standard Pokémon booster. The anniversary Pikachu slot is guaranteed, while the rest of the pack gives you chances at cards from the main 30th Celebration set and its higher-rarity chase cards.
If you only want to sample the set, RareTCG has a dedicated 30th Celebration Booster Pack listing. For a larger opening without accessories, the upcoming 30th Celebration Booster Bundle contains six packs.
What are the main cards to look for?
Pokémon has highlighted cards including Pikachu, Pikachu ex, Mew ex, Sylveon ex, Greninja ex, Ho-Oh and Lugia as part of the expansion. The set also includes the Classic Collection, which brings back iconic cards from across the history of the Pokémon TCG.
For collectors, the biggest themes are straightforward: the 30 different Pikachu rares, illustration-focused artwork, anniversary branding, the Classic Collection and the promotional cards tied to specific sealed products.
30th Celebration UK release schedule
The core expansion released worldwide on 16 September 2026, but the sealed product range is being released in several waves. Pokémon's UK product showcase currently gives exact launch information for the expansion itself and month-level availability for several later products, so some individual UK retailer dates may still vary.
September 2026 launch wave
- 30th Celebration 2-Pack Blister
- 30th Celebration Knock Out Collection
- 30th Celebration Binder Collection
- 30th Celebration Poster Collection
- 30th Celebration Pokémon ex Box — Sylveon ex or Greninja ex
- 30th Celebration Elite Trainer Box
- 30th Celebration Pokémon Center Elite Trainer Box
The expansion itself launched on 16 September. Availability of individual collection products can differ between UK retailers because allocations and delivery timing are not always identical.
2 October 2026: Booster Bundle and Mini Tins
RareTCG currently lists the 30th Celebration Booster Bundle with an expected UK release date of 2 October 2026. The bundle contains six 30th Celebration booster packs and no major accessories, making it the cleanest pack-focused product in the range.
Pokémon also lists the 30th Celebration Mini Tins for October. Each tin contains two booster packs, a sticker sheet and an art card. There are ten artworks to collect, designed to combine into two larger day-and-night images.
Later October 2026: Espeon ex and Umbreon ex Battle Decks
The Battle Deck wave arrives later in October. Each version is a fully foil 60-card deck led by either Espeon ex or Umbreon ex and includes a deck box, coin and playmat. The Espeon deck also features Victini in an illustration rare-style treatment, while the Umbreon deck includes Zeraora.
November 2026 collector wave
Pokémon's UK showcase lists several larger anniversary products for November:
- 30th Celebration Tech Sticker Collection
- 30th Celebration Ditto Premium Collection
- 30th Celebration Ultra-Premium Collection — Day & Night
- 30th Celebration Figure Collection — Mew & Mewtwo
We will update this guide as exact UK dates are confirmed for the later waves.
30th Celebration Elite Trainer Box
The standard Elite Trainer Box contains nine 30th Celebration booster packs, a full-art Nidorina promo, 65 card sleeves, 16 foil Basic Energy cards, dice, a coin, six dividers, a player's guide and the storage box itself.
This is the most balanced product in the range if you want packs plus the normal ETB extras. It is especially useful for someone who likes the Nidorina promo, wants the anniversary sleeves or prefers a displayable storage box rather than a pack-only product.
Pokémon Center Elite Trainer Box
The 30th Celebration Pokémon Center Elite Trainer Box increases the pack count to 11 booster packs and includes two full-art Nidorina promo cards, one of which carries the Pokémon Center logo.
That extra stamped promo is the main collector difference. If you are comparing the standard ETB and Pokémon Center ETB purely for packs, the Booster Bundle is a more direct pack-only format. If you care about the exclusive promo and Pokémon Center edition, the premium version is the more collector-focused option.
30th Celebration Booster Bundle
The Booster Bundle contains six booster packs and little else. There are no sleeves, dice or large storage box, so most of what you are buying is the packs themselves.
That makes it a strong fit for collectors who already have storage and accessories and simply want another six-pack opening. It is also a useful middle ground between buying one or two loose packs and committing to a larger collection product.
30th Celebration Mini Tins
Each Mini Tin contains two booster packs, one sticker sheet and a matching art card. There are ten different artworks across the range.
The tins make more sense if the packaging artwork is part of what you want to collect. If your only priority is opening packs, compare the live pack count and price of the Booster Bundle against the Mini Tins when both are available.
Ditto Premium Collection
The Ditto Premium Collection is scheduled for the November wave and contains eight 30th Celebration booster packs, a Ditto promo card and a colourful acrylic display that can hold either the included promo or another card from your collection.
This is much more display-led than a Booster Bundle. The acrylic piece and Ditto promo are the reason to choose it rather than treating it as simply an eight-pack box.
Ultra-Premium Collection — Day & Night
The Day & Night Ultra-Premium Collection is the largest announced 30th Celebration sealed product. Pokémon confirms 29 standard 30th Celebration booster packs plus one special Classic Collection booster pack containing three cards from the Classic Collection.
It also includes premium accessories and either a day-themed or night-themed presentation built around Pikachu ex with Espeon ex or Umbreon ex. For collectors who want a centrepiece anniversary product, this is the most substantial format announced so far.
Mew & Mewtwo Figure Collections
The Mew and Mewtwo Figure Collections each include five 30th Celebration booster packs, a foil promo card, an oversize card and a sculpted figure of the featured Pokémon.
These are collector products first. If you already collect Mew, Mewtwo or Pokémon figures, the exclusive presentation is the attraction; if you only want packs, a Booster Bundle is more straightforward.
Is there a 30th Celebration Booster Box?
No traditional 36-pack Booster Display has been announced for 30th Celebration. This is a special expansion, and Pokémon is distributing packs through collection products, ETBs, Booster Bundles, tins and premium boxes instead.
This is similar to the way other special Pokémon expansions have been structured. It also means you should be cautious with listings using phrases such as “30th Celebration booster box” unless the seller is clearly describing a display of another officially announced product rather than a standard 36-pack box.
Which 30th Celebration product should you buy?
The right format depends on what you actually want from the set:
-
Booster Pack: best for trying the set with the smallest commitment.
-
Booster Bundle: best if you mainly want packs and do not need accessories.
-
Elite Trainer Box: best if you want packs, the Nidorina promo, sleeves and storage together.
-
Pokémon Center ETB: best for collectors who specifically value the Pokémon Center-stamped Nidorina promo and exclusive edition.
-
Mini Tins: best if you enjoy collecting the ten tin artworks as well as opening packs.
-
Ditto Premium Collection: best if the Ditto promo and acrylic display matter to you.
-
Ultra-Premium Collection: best as the large anniversary centrepiece with the biggest pack count and a dedicated Classic Collection pack.
-
Mew or Mewtwo Figure Collection: best for collectors who want the figure and promo as much as the packs.
If your main goal is opening packs, start by comparing the Booster Bundle and loose packs. If you want the complete anniversary-product experience, the ETB or one of the November premium collections gives you more to keep after the packs are opened.
Is 30th Celebration worth collecting?
As a collecting set, 30th Celebration has several features that make it distinctive: a guaranteed Pikachu rare in every pack, 30 Pikachu artworks to chase, anniversary branding, the Classic Collection and a long product line with exclusive promos.
That does not mean every sealed product or card will rise in value. Collecting and investing are different goals, and future prices are never guaranteed. If you are buying for yourself, choose the cards, promos and sealed formats you would still be happy to own even if the market changes.
